Lust list: Spring maxi dresses

I don’t know about you, but I spend enough time on Instagram that the ad algorithm knows exactly how to get me. I own stacks of travel-themed jewellery at this point! I mentioned before how much I love the dreamy dresses in the world of LoveShackFancy, and I’m still very much in that frame of mind — I want floaty dresses in light, breezy fabrics with delicate prints. I literally live in dresses in Barbados — I packed stacks of them to throw on over swimwear. Of course right now during coronavirus lockdown there is no beach, but I digress.

My point is Instagram keeps showing me this beautiful dress, which ticks all of my boxes, so I thought I’d compile a few similarly beautiful dresses. It’s eternal summer here, and spring is on the way for those of you further north.

A delicate pastel floral will always catch my eye, so the options from Joie, Yumi Kim and Pretty Garden are just what I’m looking for. One of the good things about being in Barbados is that I can’t indulge my expensive habit of buying from The Outnet, so I’m window shopping at this point! I never really think of buying clothes from Amazon, but of course you can buy everything there, including pretty dresses.

The colourblock Lee Matthews dress exudes major garden party or picnic vibes. Wear it to a barbeque, accessorised with a straw bag this spring/summer. Ellebabe is one of those Instagram advertisers that get me to part with my money, this one I bought a pair of sequin trousers from to wear with a t-shirt and heels. This beautiful geometric print dress has got me tempted to place another order I can pick up when I’m back in London…whenever that may be…

What’s your vibe for your spring/summer wardrobe?
