From a New York Times Bestselling Author, The MacKinnon's Bride brings us love, honor, suspense, passion--all the good things we love in a Highlander Romance. When laird Iain MacKinnon's young son is captured by the English, the fierce Scottish chieftain retaliates in kind, capturing the daughter of his enemy to bargain for his boy's return. Fiercely loyal to kin, Iain never imagines a father can deny his child--or that he will become Page FitzSimon's savior. "Keep her, or kill her!" FitzSimon proclaims when Iain forces his hand. What can a good lad do, but take the lass home. Even as Page blames her reluctant champion for welching on a bargain with her father, she suspects the truth... the shadows hold secrets... and danger. Now only love can save MacKinnon's fiery new bride.

Loved this book. Although a pretty predictable ending, didn't stop me from devouring every page and thoroughly enjoying the characters and the interactions between them all. So eager to read the next story in this series.
  • You get what you pay for.

Bad accents, over emotional characters, naked men and an uninspired plot. But it was free.

I have no idea what everybody else seems to be talking about. Maybe I missed something? But this has to be one of the most annoying books I've read. The story drags and the girl is infuriatingly irritating with her never ending stupid remarks and thoughts. It takes forever for something to happen yet it's the same ramblings and musings from the girl the whole time. Really don't waste your time it doesn't get better the further you read.
  • The Mckinnons Bride

Melodramatic. Good story. Had to quit reading often to get thru the crap. The great Scot was a woos but u kinda wanted him to feel all girly emotions. Just got to be too much even for a romance. Worth reading just not all at one sitting. Like an entire cheesecake.
